There are definite environmental advantage to using white polished concrete on your next project.

•  White polished concrete last so much longer than other forms of flooring. This is a permanent solution for flooring. This makes the environmental impact for the future of this flooring extremely advantageous.  The longevity of this flooring means it won't have to be replaced in three or four years like carpeting, or 20 years like VCT. Even after 20 years, the floor can easily be polished back up to new condition for a small fraction of the labor involved during installation.

• The chemicals used during the grinding and polishing process are both earth friendly and do not require disposal and are not listed as hazardous waste.  We use the only pH neutral densifier on the market, Green Umbrella Dry Shield. Unlike all other densifiers, amorphous silica does not require rinsing or disposal after application.  No other densifier can make this claim.

• Green Umbrella Microfilm is a penetrating treatment that bonds to the concrete.  It does not require rinsing or disposal.  It does not chip peel or flake, and is extremely wear resistant.  In high-traffic areas it can be re applied on an annual basis without ever needing to be removed prior to reapplication.  Again, no need for disposal, a definite environmental advantage over other options.
